Please encourage anyone you know who may not be registered or has moved here and needs to transfer their address, so that they can do it today or tomorrow to be eligible to vote in November here in KCMO.
The Missouri lawsuit on Voter ID was argued in the Missouri Supreme Court this week. A decision is expected any day. As the law stands today, Missouri will not need a photo id to vote in November. Kansas elections are conducted by the counties with oversight by the Secretary of State's office. Voter registration application (español) forms must be submitted to the county election officer where the applicant lives. The deadline to register to vote is the fifteenth day before any election.
Counties are required to post a Voter Rights and Responsibilities poster (español) and Notice to Voters (español) at each polling place on Election Day. Each county maintains a list of registered voters, and the secretary of state maintains a statewide list.
